We bought this as part of a tasting for the UC Davis Wine Center and were blown away. The Smile of Fortune Batch 4 exceeded all expectations and then some. Complex, rich, balanced, brooding and also, somehow, lighthearted. I did not know mead could be this good. If I could buy 100 gallons of this I would.

I first tasted A Smile of Fortune at The Whitney, and I've been hooked on it and Schramm's other products ever since. Its flavor is rich and delightful with perfect sweetness. My only regret is that the bottle gets finished so quickly!
