2:1 Fall Bee Feed Syrup – Made Fresh (to Order)

Bring your own appropriately-sized clean containers, or add 5-gallon HDPE containers for an additional $15 each.

Keep your kitchen clean and save yourself a ton of work! We can easily mix anywhere from 5 to 500 gallons of syrup quickly and easily, without adding heat. Please contact us if you are bringing a container over 50 gallons in volume. On the "small" scale, I use a large commercial Waring stick blender which is 4 feet long — anything over 15 gallons batch size I use Bob Binnie's methods (but with higher-quality sanitary winery equipment & processes). We do not use sugar for our mead must preparation, but mixing honey and water to make must for intentional fermentation uses very similar styles of equipment:

Fall feeding is essential in many parts of the U.S. to prepare honey bees for a successful winter. Our 2:1 sugar syrup is mixed by weight for the correct consistency bees need to build strong winter stores (63 Brix, about 1.307 SG). Freshly prepared with a standard lead time of 1 business day (with pickup appointment). Blended at 2 parts sugar to 1 part water (by weight) and thoroughly mixed without adding heat. Add HiveAlive® supplement, available on request for a minimal added charge.

Product must be picked up within two business days of the pick up appointment window.

If you prefer ORGANIC the same syrup can be made using organic cane sugar. Please be sure to select the option that you prefer.
