Lord Jim represents an evolution of flavor for Schramm’s Ginger mead. Matured in hand-selected bourbon barrels, Lord Jim typifies pure ginger root and floral honey accompanied by notes of vanilla, oak, and crème brûlée with a hint of smooth bourbon. The added complexity from the barrel aging process rounds out and smooths the spiciness of the ginger to create a warm and extremely flavorful mead.
Arrow of Gold Batch One
‘The Arrow of Gold’ celebrates one of our favorite dioecious plants, Myristica fragrans, which produces the voluptuous spice, nutmeg. The youthful passion of freshly emptied bourbon barrels combined with Schramm’s Nutmeg mead creates a beautiful mélange of spice, sweetness, barrel, and time. Redolent of orange blossom honey, nutmeg, & vanillin, ‘The Arrow of Gold’ speaks fire without raising her voice. Enjoy as you would your favorite Sauternes.
