This apple mead is made with a blend of locally sourced and pressed Michigan apple varieties, then aged in carefully- selected bourbon barrels. This classic American combination took us years to arrive at: tart apples, sweet honey, with notes of cereal grain flavor, oak spice, and vanillin from the barrel. Not a revolution, but the big wheel keeps on turning.
